How you can help – old

We don’t always need your money!

How you can help for free…

  • The most important thing you can do is use the library…it’s FREE!
  • You can read newspapers and magazines for free from the comfort of your own home (LINK to apps)
  • Ancestry and Which? are free in the library, saving you the annual membership
  • If you can spare an hour or so a month, then you can volunteer in the library, helping to put away books (LINK to OCC online application)
  • Or you can help the Trustees with events, quiz night, minutes, fundraising, events, merchandise, stalls, Libraries Week in October, Book Day, etc.

Otherwise we do still need support financially and if you want to support us and the library then you can;

  • Become a Friend – sign up to Friends of Benson Library (LINK to membership form or pick up form in library) for a minimal donation of £1 a month or £10 a year. The money we raise ensures the library stays open for all to use.
  • Make one-off donations (don’t forget to use a Gift Aid Form so we can claim an extra 25%) which would turn your donation of £10 into £12.50.
  • Sponsorship – if you are a local organisation looking to support local causes, then why not consider sponsoring an event? Contact xxx
